We are showing the new film The Quiet Girl , an 2022 Irish coming of age film. Set in 1981, the film follows a withdrawn nine-year-old girl who experiences a loving home for the first time when she spends the summer on a farm with distant relatives. The film was nominated for Best International Film at the most recent Oscars. The film is based on Claire Keegan’s very short novel Foster, which is available at the LHT Library in hard copy and via hoopla & Libby. Rated Pg-13. Run time: 1 hour & 35 minutes.
