Spinning Wheel and Loom Demonstration

Help “spin” the wheel, learn what “tape” from a tape loom is and what it was used for, and view hand-dyed hanks of spun yarn to see what colors fabric in the 18th century could be.
Plus, take home a bit of carded wool!

Udder to Butter: Make Butter (Ages 5-12)

Presented by Fosterfields Living Historical Farm. Fosterfields used to be a dairy farm. Learn all about Jersey cows and the science behind making butter. Students will be able to churn their own butter to try with bread or crackers. All supplies provided. Best for Grades: K-6 Register HERE.
